Scholarship Details

  • $20,000 Scholarship award ($5,000 annually, distributed over four consecutive years)
  • Funds are dispersed before the beginning of each enrolled academic year
  • Scholarship will be forfeited if the student discontinues enrollment at their selected four-year college (school transfers may be approved at the discretion of the scholarship committee)

Eligibility Criteria

The Geneva Fund Scholarship is available to students who meet all of the following criteria:  

  • Must have been a teen mother (gave birth at age 19 or younger) or be currently pregnant
  • May apply as a first-time student, transfer student, or returning student who previously paused education due to parenting responsibilities
  • Must have or be in the process of obtaining a high school diploma or GED
  • Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and enrollment must be at an accredited four-year college or university
  • The scholarship does not apply to:
        ~Community colleges
        ~Junior colleges
        ~Associate-degree programs
        ~Technical or trade schools
        ~Certificate or non-degree programs


Students enrolled in programs outside of a four-year bachelor’s degree track are not eligible for consideration.

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship application by downloading the form below
  2. Submit a personal essay (500 words) explaining educational and career aspirations, how the scholarship will impact your future, and the challenges you’ve faced and overcome as a teen mother
  3. Provide proof of enrollment or acceptance to a four-year college (if available at the time of application)
  4. Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, employer, or community leader who can speak to your character and determination
  5. Email all required documents to contact@genevafund.org by May 15, 2026
